At Clayton Community Church we are committed to spreading the good news that God has come to save us, and His name is Jesus. Trusting in the sufficiency of His death and resurrection to pay for our wrongdoing is the only way to have eternal life, a relationship with God––sealed in heaven forever.
It is our hope and prayer that at Clayton Community Church people will be:
- told they are welcome in God’s family and in our church,
- taught God’ word, and
- trained to use their spiritual gifts to build God’s kingdom!
We have not attained these goals but we… “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:24
Since we began in the courtesy room of a bank in Clayton in September of 1973, we have been a “come as you are” church. In fact, Jesus’ invitation to all of us is to come as we are.
While membership is valued and meaningful, we are happy for you to attend as often and as long as you like. We rejoice to have both members and regulars. May the Lord bless your presence with us. In other words, you really are welcome!
So relax and enjoy the fellowship of the saints–-the fellowship of believers.
A PLACE FOR WORSHIP & PRAISE
The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and praise, receiving His blessing and inspiration.
A PLACE FOR LEARNING
To us, studying the Bible is vital because it not only instructs us intellectually, but guides us spiritually. We believe it and accept it as God’s Word to us. The Bible is our basis of authority.
A PLACE FOR SERVICE
We pray that attending CCC would better prepare you to bless and encourage one another. We accept our responsibility to reach out to others. This applies to those within the church family and outside our fellowship. We look forward to serving you, and we hope to see you. Welcome to our community! Be prepared to lend a hand.
“just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28
A PLACE FOR ENRICHMENT
While we are a little reluctant to unnaturally divide people into groups by gender, marital status and age, we do have a variety of service and educational programs in which you can participate.
